Our wild garden is a centrally located oasis of tranquillity in the heart of the city. Numerous park benches offer relaxation amidst peaceful, natural surroundings.
During your next stay, you can go on a walk or enjoy your time-out amidst green nature.
Discover the diversity in the garden
The original building work in 1860 was carried out exclusively by local craftsmen. Our new building was also constructed according to ecological criteria. With a photovoltaic system, district heating, heat recovery ventilation and state-of-the-art technology, we keep our energy consumption to a minimum.
Native wood and natural, biodegradable paint were used exclusively during construction. We process our food waste and peelings into biogas on site. When sourcing our ingredients, we predominantly favour regional producers, while growing our own fruit and vegetables in our organic garden to enrich our menus. We will be happy to show you rare plants that flourish in our garden and offer a habitat for rhinoceros beetles, dragonflies and numerous bird species in the middle of the city.
